Internationale Tagung anlässlich des 100. Geburtstages von KURT R. FISCHER (1922-2014) / International conference on the occassion of the 100th birthday of KURT R. FISCHER (1922-2014)

Zielsetzung dieser Gedenkveranstaltung sind Vorträge zu Leben und Werk von Kurt Rudolf Fischer, der lange Jahre Gast- und Honorarprofessor am Institut für Philosophie und zugleich Mitarbeiter am Institut Wiener Kreis gewesen ist – dem er seine wissenschaftliche Bibliothek vermacht hat. Vor allem sollen seine zahlreichen Beiträge zu den Weltanschauungen des Wiener Fin de siècle und zur „Österreichischen Philosophie“ (Neurath-Haller-These) thematisiert und problematisiert werden.

This memorial event aims to present lectures on life and work of Kurt Rudolf Fischer who was an honorary and guest professor at the Department of Philosophy for many years. He bequeathed his academic library to the Institue Vienna Circle where he worked at the same time. Especially his numerous contributions to the world views of Viennese Fin de Siècle and to „Austrian Philosophy“ (Neurath-Haller-Thesis) shall be addressed and problematized.
